Conceptual Physics
Instructor: Pam Yaksich

(The Learning Center offers high school science courses on a two-year rotational basis.) This class will study conceptual physics to help students make connections between the concepts of physics and the everyday world. As the author of the textbook writes, “The main reason to study physics is to enhance the way you see the physical world.” Algebra is necessary, but this will not be primarily a math application course. The class will focus on the beauty and order of the physical creation and combine lectures with hands-on exercises. For more information, visit www.conceptualphysics.com. Mrs. Yaksich is an experienced science teacher with real-world experience in scientific research. Please be sure to obtain the ninth edition of the text.
