Nutrition in the Kitchen A cooking class that also teaches the fundamentals of nutrition. Martha Nepper, a registered dietitian and nutrition expert, will teach students to make delicious and nutritious meals, snacks, beverages, and they will get to taste the results! The class will emphasize knowing the nutrients important for a healthy lifestyle, reading food labels, determining proper portion sizes, and applying their knowledge to daily eating habits. At the end of the semester, students will have made a cookbook and nutrition manual, full of recipes and nutrition information. Let this class begin a lifetime of healthy habits. Don’t miss the fun! Approximately 30 minutes of homework per week.
