What exactly do you guys do?
The Omaha Homeschool Learning Center provides weekly classes to supplement your home curriculum. We typically offer 80-90 classes per semester with 550 or more kids in attendance throughout the day.
When are you about this?
We meet on Wednesdays for 12-14 weeks in the fall and “spring.” Usually, we start the first week of September and then again in the first week of February. Classes are held from 9am to 4pm; kids can take as many or as few as they like.
Registration usually starts the first week of June and the first week of December. Check out our calendar for precise dates.

What is this going to set me back?
Tuition is typically $120 for a semester class; there is also usually an additional charge for supply fees or textbooks. Tuition is higher for classes that meet for an extended time.
Volunteers receive discounted tuition ($87.60), priority registration, and a stipend applied as credit. (More here.)

So where do I see your classes?
Can we cancel after registering?
You may cancel classes by contacting us, but there are financial penalties.
How do waitlists work?
If a class is full, you can still place your child on a waitlist. Simply register them as usual, at which point you should receive confirmation that they are on the waitlist.
If a place opens up in this class, all students on the waitlist will be sent an email simultaneously, regardless of when they were registered. Students can register on a first-come, first-served basis.
You may sign your child up for an alternative class at the same time:
--if your child is able to obtain a place in the previously full class, contact us to drop the unwanted class at no charge.
--if your child is not placed in the full class, you will still have some financial responsibility if you decide to drop the class. See details here.
Consider volunteering next time. It’s easy and you will get priority registration as well as save money. See details here.

What do you expect of students?
The Learning Center is delighted to serve homeschool students. However, classes are necessarily group-based environments, which prevent us from making the kinds of accommodations that are available at home. Parents should make realistic enrollment decisions based on a child’s experience in group settings, such as library activities, Sunday school, etc.
Please carefully read the online class description as well as take note of the following common issues that prevent students from meeting classroom behavior expectations.
- Preschool
- 6-13-yr-olds
- 14-18 yr olds
Where does this all take place?
You may find us on Wednesdays at the Southwest Church of Christ (124th and W. Center). NOTE: Google may be wrong about our location. Nor is the Learning Center located in Bellevue (which is our business/home address.) You can see the real location here.
Do you have summer classes?
Not at this time. If we were to offer some workshops, they would be announced by email and text, so be sure to sign up for updates to stay informed.
When is your next semester?
Registration for the Fall Semester typically begins the first week of June; Spring Semester registration begins the first week of December. Classes are typically unveiled some time before registration. You can find more details by looking at our calendar.
Also, you can sign up for updates to stay informed by email or text.
How do we contact you?
You can reach us at omahahomeschool@gmail.com. Teachers’ email addresses can be found here.
I've heard that there's a dress code.
Yep, and we enforce it despite the embarrassment it causes us.
You can find the dress code and other pesky rules here.
