Hi all!
We are excited for a new semester at the Learning Center!

Please read the following carefully.

1. You indicated on your registration form that you or your child would like to volunteer. Please confirm this by replying “yes,” unless you are no longer volunteering, in which case you should say “no.” Please be sure that your first and last name is included somewhere on the email that you send.

2. I’ve included a chart of your preferences at the bottom of the email (and the same list is attached).

A. The column after the first name (“kids”) indicates if adults will have very young children who must be with them at the time that they are volunteering. If the volunteer is a child, their age will appear in this column.

B. The next column (“Available”) lists the times that volunteers are available to work.

C. The final column (“Max”) indicates how many total hours the volunteer is willing to work each Wednesday, e.g., you may have listed being available for 10, 11, and 12pm, but you only want to work 2 of those hours.

We will accommodate your preferences as best as we can; however, if it is imperative that you volunteer in your child’s class, be sure to mention which class this in your reply, as this is not always possible or preferable.

3. If any of this is wrong, has changed, or is INCOMPLETE please let us know the correct information. Also, please let us know if your name is listed, but it is actually your child who is volunteering; send their name and age, as well if it is not already listed.

Children ages 12-13: Please verify their availability for set-up (8:15am), clean-up (4-4:40pm), or both. These kids need to be able to carry chairs and help carry tables, as indicated on the volunteer form.

4. Tae Kwon Do: Do you have a child enrolled in Tae Kwon Do (ages 5-7) at the same time that you are volunteering (12:20pm and/or 1:15pm)? Will you have to leave your volunteer position in order to pick up and/or drop off your child? If so, please indicate this.

3. Please be alert for at least one other email/text that you will have to respond to in order for us to sort out the twisted web of volunteers. That one will include your specific assignments and will also require a reply.
