We had a number of disturbances on the playground last week that went well beyond what is acceptable. To remedy this, we are implementing the following rules for the remainder of the semester:
1. No roughhousing at anytime, anywhere on the property. Children should not lay hands on each other in any kind of aggressive way, even “just for fun.”
2. Parents of boys 10 years and older must directly supervise their children at the playground, meaning that a parent’s eyes are on their child at all times. As we transition to a safer playground, it would also be wise if other parents also kept a more careful eye on interactions.
We would hate to have to close the playground down entirely due to a small number of students, but the safety of the children at the Learning Center is paramount to us.
We appreciate your understanding and any help that you can offer us.
Thanks,
Jack and Holly Donnelly
