About
The Omaha Homeschool Learning Center
The Learning Center offers 50-minute weekly classes that meet for twelve Wednesdays at 124th and West Center. Tuition is typically $120 per class for the entire semester with some additional supply fees. (See details.) Volunteers receive a 27% tuition discount (typically $87.60 per class). (See details.)
Our Mission
We want to make homeschooling more enjoyable and more rewarding, primarily by providing student-centered, active classes to supplement your homeschool curriculum. We have a Christian foundation, but classes should emphasize the subject matter, except where specifically mentioned in class descriptions.
Beyond social ethics such as respect for others, obedience to authority, modesty, etc., we believe that parents should be the prime teachers of values. We also affirm that parents are the first and best teachers of their children, and we strive to balance this with the necessary concessions required by group learning.
Volunteering
Volunteers receive discounted tuition, priority registration, and a scholarship.
- Tuition is reduced by 27% for all classes ($87.60) for all members of your family.
- You decide when and how much you will volunteer.
- If you have young kids, you can still volunteer.
- Those who have very young children or are infirm or are the main family caregiver to an infirm parent are also eligible for a 27% tuition discount.
