December 30, 2025Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout NEXT SEMESTER:
- Nov. 21st (probably): The Spring Semester class scheduleis unveiled.
- Dec. 1st: Volunteer registration begins at 7am.
- Dec. 8th: General registration begins at 7am.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP US FIND TEACHERS! Recruit your friends, retired neighbors, and yourself to teach engaging classes and share in our mission to make homeschooling easier and more fun.
We’re especially looking for
- Ages 6–10: ART,Cooking, Sugar and Spice (tea parties, unicorns, mermaids), Hands-On History (e.g., Castles and Knights, Egypt/Africa), Concoctions (e.g., edible play dough, bouncy balls), Math Games, Chapter Book with Activities, Fancy Nancy and associated crafts
- Ages 10–14: ART,Cooking, Cake Decorating, Chapter Book with Activities, Hand-Tool Projects, Board Game Club, Chess, Stop-Motion Videos, VEX IQ Robotics (we have supplies)
- Ages 13+: Car Care, Cake Decorating, Spanish Vocabulary
- OPEN HOUSE:Monday Nov. 24th, 6:30 – 8pm. We will have performances from our Ballet, Drama, and Line Dance classes, as well as some class work displayed.
• FREE HOMESCHOOL PLAY! Our Town at Bryan High School, Nov. 21st at 4:30pm & 7pm and Nov. 22nd at 2pm and 6 pm.

- TEACHER THANK-YOU NOTES: Please consider thanking your child’s teachers, either in writing or person. We are so proud and pleased with their work; I hope that if you are, you will let them know.
- BAKE SALE:The Learning Center fall play, Our Town, will be hosting a fundraiser selling treats and snacks with all proceeds going toward the fall play budget. Stop by on 11/12 from 11am – 3pm in the lobby to support them!
- FOOD DRIVE 11/12 and 11/19:Scouts BSA Troops 26B and 26G and Pack 26F will be collecting for the Food Bank of the Heartland. Please bring unexpired non-perishable food items (no glass) to the Learning Center on 11/12 or 11/19 and drop them in the labeled box in the lobby. - LOST:Boy’s winter jacket, black and gray with neon green trim. It was left in the bushes outside the Learning Center. If you accidentally grabbed it, could you bring it to the lost and found table?

NOV. 19th: Last day for 12-week classes, except for those listed on Dec. 3rd, below.
NOV. 26th: Thanksgiving Break; no classes.
DEC. 3rd: Cooking Noodles and Drafting end.
DEC. 10th: Last day for 14-week classes: American Government, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Geography, Making a World War, Physical Science, and Psychology 101.
